Pastor Darrell Gaines

Hi, my name is Darrell.

I believe that you are uniquely wired by God for a specific purpose and that unless you figure out what that purpose is, you'll never be truly fulfilled.

No one else on earth can fulfill the unique calling that God has for you. No one else can fulfill your assignment. Maybe you know exactly what your purpose is, maybe you've been running from it for a while, or maybe you have absolutely no idea where to even start looking for it...

But I want to help you find it.

Because I believe that the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who actually do...

CrossWay Church is a member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC). The IPHC is one of the most established Pentecostal denominations in America and is a charter member of the National Association of Evangelicals. Listed below are our Basic Beliefs. If you would like further amplication on any of these statements, to view our denominational Articles of Faith or to find out more about the IPHC, please visit www.iphc.org.

our Beliefs:

The Bible

is God’s Word to us. Human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

God

is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three making up the trinity are equal and are one God.

Jesus

is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Salvation

is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus into his or her life by faith.

Sanctification

is a process of growing in character and Christian maturity that begins at salvation. It flows out of a pure heart filled with Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It enables the believer’s attitudes and actions to be pleasing to God.

The Holy Spirit

is co-equal with the Father and Son. he is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is holy. He provides every believer with spiritual gifts and we seek to live under his control daily.

Eternal Life

is our reward for trusting Jesus as our Savior. People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through His forgiveness.
